No. We are a membership-based not-for-profit focused on assisting Hawaii’s businesses with human resource management and labor relations. Not really. A SHRM membership is for the individual HR professional. HEC’s memberships are for an organization. We designed our member services to help anyone in a leadership, management or human resources role in an organization. - Our company belongs to a business association. No, we’ve been around since 1943 and were founded by some of Hawaii’s oldest businesses. - Do I have to be a member to use your services?
For the most part, yes. Our HR & LR Hotlines, survey information, handbooks, HR practices review, newsletters and more are exclusive member benefits, but non-HEC members can register for most of our seminars.
