The Council regularly offers a series of workshops on Supervisory Development and on HR Administration to bolster the skills of your staff. Many of our workshops can be tailored to your needs and delivered at your site. Seminars focus on communication, leadership, HR management, and safety. Free briefings- open to members only - feature timely HR-related topics.

- Members-Only Free Briefings
The Council is pleased to collaborate and partner with local consultants, attorneys, and businesses to present free briefings as a key component to your membership. As specific legislation is passed, or as new economic or management data become available, we hold sessions to communicate and discuss how these changes may affect your organization. These briefings provide timely updates on changes in employment laws, benefits and personnel practices.
Due to the popularity of these briefings, participation is limited to five per company. Early enrollment is encouraged.
- Seminars
The role of management has shifted dramatically in recent years. Employers are looking for ways to educate their supervisors and managers to fit their ever-emerging roles. In collaboration with local trainers, HEC can be your partner in improving the performance, behavior, and skill sets of your supervisors and managers. We can assist member companies by offering a comprehensive selection of seminars.

- Supervisory / Management Certificate Workshops
The Council is pleased to present its members-only Supervisory-Management Development Certificate Series. These eight sessions are designed for first-line supervisors who have had little training in supervision and management and can be taken in any order within a one-year time frame.
All workshops have limited enrollment (maximum of five per company, per session) to encourage group participation and discussion. We recommend early registration. There is a nominal fee of $25.00 per session. Individuals may register for each session separately, or for the entire series.
These programs are also available on an in-house basis for individual member companies at a special member rate.
- In-House Training
Any or all of the supervisory-management training workshops can be brought to your company’s site or at held HEC’s training rooms. The content of these workshops can be designed to fit your company’s unique culture and tailored to highlight issues that are important to your workplace.
The workshops combine lectures, videos and case studies, with longer sessions including role-play exercises. We will use your company's forms, policies and procedures to the extent possible.
