Guy Tajiri, Senior LR Consultant, provides negotiating, contract administration, and grievance handling services for our member companies. He has 30 years labor relations experience, most recently with the State of Hawaii, Department of Education. Prior to that, Guy was the Business Manager for the Hawaii Fire Fighters Association and held various positions with HGEA.

Guy earned his B.A. degree in Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He has served on the City & County of Honolulu Salary Commission since 2003 and as Commission Chair from 2006 through 2008. He is also serving on the Board of Directors for the Industrial Relations Research Association and as its President in 2007. Guy has also served on the boards for the State of Hawaii Employer-Union Trust Fund; Hawaii Dental Service; and HGEA Staff Retirement Trust Fund.
