Could scanning those government posters and rotating them on a plasma screen satisfy a Hawaii employer’s posting requirements and save space on the company bulletin board? HEC checked with the State Wage Standards Division, and they said that it was okay for the Hawaii Wage & Hour Law poster, as long as the plasma screen was on at all times during which employees worked and the poster was displayed for a long enough period so that the employee could read it from top to bottom. On the other hand, the U.S. Dept. of Labor Wage & Hour Division said that such a posting would not meet their requirements because the poster would not be available at all times for viewing.
