The General Services Administration, Dept. of Defense, and National Aeronautics and Space Administration have agreed to postpone requiring federal contractors to use the E-Verify system to check employee work authorizations until June 30, 2009. Federal contracting officers must include the new E-Verify clause in affected contracts on or after June 30.

The implementation date had been postponed two previous times from its original date of January 15, 2009.
