The Dept. of Defense, General Services Administration, and National Aeronautics and Space Administration have again delayed the requirement for federal contractors to utilize the federal government’s online E-Verify system for employment eligibility verification to Sept. 8, 2009.
This is the fourth delay of the rule, which was scheduled to take effect on June 30. According to a notice in the Federal Register, federal contracting officers may not include the new Employment Eligibility Verification clause in any solicitation or contract prior to the applicability date in September.
