The unemployment insurance taxable wage base for 2010 will be $38,800, with the tax rate for new employers set at 4.0 percent, the Dept. of Labor and Industrial Relations reports, which means most employers here will see an increase in their UI payroll taxes. However, DLIR also observes that the contribution rate schedule and taxable wage base for calendar year 2010 is subject to changes that may be made by the upcoming Legislative session.
