Most new federal contractors, and subcontractors with whom they do business, must post a notice as of June 19, 2010 informing their employees of their rights as employees under federal labor laws, including their right to unionize.

The posting requirement only applies to contracts which are entered into or modified on June 21, 2010 and thereafter, and does not apply to contracts which result from a bid solicitation which was issued prior to June 21, 2010. It also does not apply to subcontracts for less than $10,000.
