HEC’s IT Pay Survey Generally Shows Moderate Increases Since 2009
Except for certain positions such as Chief Information Officer, Systems Analyst, and Network Administrator, most other computer-related positions showed slight to moderate pay increases compared to last year, according to HEC’s 2010 Information Technology Pay Rate Survey.
Bonus payments, however, were up for the CIO, Systems Analyst, and Network Administrator compared to last year. Pay rate information was reported for 57 full-time data processing and information services managerial, professional, and non-exempt jobs.
Although CIO pay was reported to be down 2.1 percent since the 2009 survey, it was up overall 23.4 percent in 2010 compared to 2005. PC Technician pay, on the other hand, was up by 1.1 percent compared to last year, but overall down by 4.9 percent compared to 2005.
