EEO-1 Report Due Sept. 30

The filing period for the Employer Information Report EEO-1, otherwise known as the EEO-1 Report, is now open, and the filing deadline is September 30, 2012.

Those required to file the EEO-1 Report: companies with 100 or more employees; if the company is owned by or corporately affiliated with another company and the entire enterprise employs a total of 100 or more employees; or federal government prime contractors or first-tier subcontractors subject to Executive Order 11246 with 50 or more employees and with the federal contract amounting to $50,000 or more.

The preferred method for completing the EEO-1 reports is the web-based filing system, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission says. All companies should have received EEO 1 filing materials by mail no later than mid August 2012.
