How to Develop Compliant Safety Program Presented Oct. 5 at HEC
Safety professional Walter Chun presents a workshop on the cost-effective means to develop a workplace program that complies with state occupational safety and health requirements for general industry (non-construction) employers on October 5 at the HEC Kahili Meeting Room.
Under the new Hawaii Occupational Safety & Health-Occupational Safety & Health Administration cooperation agreement, federal OSHA will be undertaking inspections for Hawaii general industry employers, and the development of a safety and health program is strongly advised prior to being inspected.
Walter Chun, CSP, CHSP, CHST has a Ph.D. in occupational safety and health, and is a safety professional with over 40 years of experience in the field. He has provided safety consulting to companies in the construction, healthcare, agriculture, hotel, retail, manufacturing, maritime, and longshoring industries. From 1991 to 1993, Walter served as the Pacific Area Director for the U.S. Department of Labor – OSHA.
