In conjunction with the new Family and Medical Leave Act rules which will become effective on January 16, 2009, the U.S. Dept. of Labor has issued a new FMLA poster that employers with 50 or more employees must display on the company bulletin board. Read more

D.C. Circuit Places NLRB Poster on Hold

Mark Gaston Pearce The National Labor Relations Board required poster, which had been scheduled to take effect on April 30, is under a temporary injunction by the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, which means that employers do not have to post the notice informing employees of their right to organize until the outcome of an appeal over the legality of the posting rule. Required NLRA Poster to be Available by Nov. 1

Last week’s News Digest reported on a Nov. 14 posting requirement promulgated by the National Labor Relations Board; the NLRB says the posters will be made available to employers by Nov. 1 via its website or its regional offices.
