Hawaii Median Pay Increases Still Lag Behind Mainland

According to HEC’s 2006 Salary Adjustment Survey, the state’s median pay increases are still lower here compared to the Mainland. U.S. median salary increases are reported at 3.5% in 2006, compared to Hawaiian median increases of 3.0% for the same period. Companies participating in the survey project average salary increases in 2007 to be 3.8%.

HEC Research Shows More Hawaii Employers Planning Modest Pay Increases for 2011

A special analysis of data conducted from the last three Hawaii Employers Council Salary Adjustment Surveys shows that more companies are reporting modest salary increases projected to average 1.5 percent for the coming year, as opposed to the actual salary increases averaging 1.3 percent granted this year.
