According to HEC’s 2006 Salary Adjustment Survey, the state’s median pay increases are still lower here compared to the Mainland. U.S. median salary increases are reported at 3.5% in 2006, compared to Hawaiian median increases of 3.0% for the same period. Companies participating in the survey project average salary increases in 2007 to be 3.8%.

coins According to the results of HEC’s 2007 Salary Adjustment Survey, median salary increases in Hawaii average 3.5 percent in 2007 and are projected at 3.5 percent for 2008. U.S. median salary increases are at 3.7 percent in 2007 and projected at 3.8 percent, reports The Conference Board. Although most employees will see some sort of pay increase in 2007 and 2008, companies participating in the HEC survey said that 6.5 percent of jobs will not have an increase in 2007, and 2.2 percent aren’t projected to have one in 2008. A total of 247 Hawaii companies participated in this year’s survey, representing all industry sectors and company sizes.
