If you’re in charge of reporting work-related injuries for your organization, this is the class for you. The Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (DLIR) has begun enforcing a penalty for late or incomplete filings of the form, “WC-1 Employer’s Report of Industrial Injury.” Although the WC-1 may appear relatively straightforward at first glance, the form can present some difficult scenarios for those tasked with filing the WC-1. In fact, roughly a quarter of all forms submitted to DLIR are considered late or incomplete, and potentially subject to the $5,000 penalty. In this seminar, free for HEC members, a representative from DLIR will teach you how to properly complete the WC-1 and how to avoid common mistakes.
