9180316 Civility and Workplace Respect-A Special 2-Part Seminar for Supervisors
March 12, 2018 | 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Class is closed

What is your organization doing to create a civil and respectful workplace?  EEOC Commissioner Chai Feldblum commented that workplace incivility often acts as a “gateway drug” to workplace harassment.

Join us for a special 2-part seminar for supervisors, focused on establishing and maintaining a respectful workplace.  The seminar integrates the EEOC’s Select Task Force Report with hands-on learning to build awareness and skills to minimize rudeness and harassment while strengthening respect in the workplace.

Both sessions will be interactive with ample opportunity for skills development.

Session 1:          The Civil Workplace -

  • Civility defined
  • Brief overview of the EEOC Select Task Force Report
  • Civility and workplace well being
  • How does civility impact the bottom line?
  • Your role and responsibilities

Session 2:          Civility Skills Techniques -

  • Office gossip – really, is it that important?
  • Coaching on rudeness and inappropriate behavior – helping the target of incivility
  • Coaching the initiator
