9180423 Strategic Planning Linked to Organizational Transformation
April 11, 2018 | 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Do you have a “strategic plan” sitting on the shelf collecting dust? Are you tired of “flavor of the month” or the latest and greatest “leadership silver bullet program” that will solve all of your organizational culture and business problems? We have a program that will fix all of that and more!

The reality is that most businesses have some sort of strategic plan sitting on a shelf or a strategy that top leaders of the organization know in their head but is not fully understood and operationalized throughout the company.  There are also a lot of great leadership programs and processes that have great promises but without the basic foundation building blocks of trust and healthy conflict skills these programs fall to the wayside.

Over the past 12 years Fresh Leadership has partnered with many CEOs and their leadership teams to develop Strategic Operating Plans that are at the heart of their day-to-day business operations and have become their new management operating system. This system becomes the foundation of trust and collaboration, paired with healthy conflict and healthy controls, that fosters culture shifts and organizational transformation and is the larger platform that leverages the latest leadership and process-improvement programs.

In this session, participants will:

  • Discover their unique thinking wavelength, how that plays into strategic planning, and their role in the transformation process
  • Learn the basics of strategic planning that will operationalize and engage their entire company
  • Learn the multi-year mentality that must be understood to bring about organizational transformation
  • Hear local transformation stories that will inspire them to undertake the journey of transformation

About Our Speaker

Craig Chong, President & CEO, Trusted Strategic Advisor and Executive Coach of Fresh Leadership is driven by a desire to help Hawaii succeed in the 21st century by preparing the next generation of the state’s leaders. Craig founded Fresh Leadership to share nationally recognized best practices in executive coaching, strategic planning and leadership.

Craig is a protégé of Master Strategist Tom Paterson, whose strategic planning and leadership coaching processes have been used at global companies such as IBM, Disney, McDonnell Douglas, Northrop Grumman, RCA, Estée Lauder & OtterBox. His knowledge of the Paterson Processes, as well as his credentials as an International Coach Federation Professional Certified Coach, Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara Master Coach, and Sr. Birkman International Consultant have allowed him to become a trusted advisor to CEOs and Senior Executive teams in mid-sized and large business such as Kamehameha Schools, City Mill, JN Automotive Group, HMSA, and the Hawaiian Electric Companies.

Craig discovered his passion for executive coaching and strategic planning through his work with the church, which he was involved in prior to founding Fresh Leadership. He was mentored by Dr. J. Robert Clinton, the guru of Life-Long Leadership Development, while a full-time graduate student at the Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. He was also a part of the core church planning team with New Hope Christian Fellowship on Oahu from 1995 to 1999 in which the church grew from 0 to 6,000 in weekend attendance.

Craig takes great joy in serving in the community as a YMCA Metro, Board Member; Salvation Army of Hawaii, Board Chair; and in his Church Blue Water Mission. Craig is also married to Sandy and they raise two beautiful daughters Sophie & SaraAnne.
