HEC is pleased to announce a new complimentary member’s only series. Does it make your head spin trying to select the most applicable assessment tool out of the abundance of choices that you’ve heard about?
With so many choices in the marketplace, HEC will be featuring a variety of assessment tools over the next few months via a webinar series to help demystify what is possible for you. We encourage you to attend as many of the different sessions as possible.
In our survey of HEC members in late 2017 we learned:
• over 20% of the respondents said they utilize the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
• nearly 20% of the respondents said they utilize the DiSC assessment
• over 17% of the respondents said they utilize Social Styles
• over 10% of the respondents said they utilize Strengths Finder

Other assessments that members have used include Birkman (Leader Development, for Teams and Career Development), EQ-I 2.0, EQ 360 Reuven Bar-On, Firo-B, Hogan, and the Keirsey Temperament Sorter.
Of its many benefits, many members have shared that using assessments increases self-awareness, understanding others, team-building and communication.

About our Speaker

Mike Poskey is the President and CEO of ZERORISK HR and played a key role in the formation of the company. With more than 20 years of human resources consulting experience, Mike has worked with hundreds of executives, human resource, recruiting, staffing, and organizational development professionals to improve their hiring practices and employee development programs on various levels.

He has trained HR professionals on legal issues pertaining to using psychological instruments in the workplace and has coordinated numerous validation studies on identifying critical emotional intelligence competencies in a variety of job titles and industries.

With a specialty in psychological testing, specifically working with the formal, deductive science of axiology, he has assisted in the design and development of emotional intelligence hiring and training programs for companies such as Amazon.com, Sylvan Learning Centers, YMCA, and Group 1 Automotive, among others.

Mike has authored articles appearing in various SHRM and trade publications and has been a speaker for regional SHRM chapters, HR Southwest Conference, and various trade and industry associations. Mike previously served on the Board of Directors for the Dallas-Ft. Worth Staffing Management Association as VP of Workforce Readiness and is currently involved with The Hartman Institute and The Academy of Value Sciences.
