9181056 Managing Change and De-Stressing
October 26, 2018 | 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Beth Terry returns to Hawaii for a limited engagement!

Hawaii has had its share of the “cone of uncertainty” this past year, and that has been stressful. Stress can also come from change, overwhelm, information overload, miscommunication, unmet expectations, or fatigue. If we feel we’re up against a wall we might resist, which causes more stress.

Sometimes we don’t have a say in the cause of stress, as with the recent events from Mother Nature. Often the best answer is to Stop. Breathe. Acknowledge, and ASK. “Ok, this is happening. Now what? How do I cope? What’s the best course of action?”

This course reviews the dynamics of change and provides techniques for coping with that cone of uncertainty. We share practical tools and steps you can take to move out of the non-productive state of overwhelm and into a new and better way of operating. The focus is Empowerment in place of Overwhelm. Action in place of Paralysis.

Learn useful techniques that will help you adapt and creatively meet challenges brought on by uncertainty and the predictable drop in efficiency when too much change happens at once.

This course provides Practical Tools and Techniques on:

  • Dynamics of Change
  • The Change Curve – What is the process most people go through?
  • Getting to “New and Better” - how to move people forward
  • Taking Stock – where are you? Where is your team?
  • Managing the Stress of Change
  • Managing Conflict during the Change Process
  • Finding Ways to Communicate What You Need
  • Strategies that make Change less stressful
  • Now What? Action Plan to make this stick.

“Beth, you are a resourceful, solution-oriented person and by far the “lowest maintenance” yet “highest Impact” speaker that I have ever worked with. It was extremely gratifying to work with you.” C. Kimbrough, USDA Hawaii
