About Our Speakers
Nathalie S. Pettit, Esq. is the owner of the Law Office of Nathalie S. Pettit Inc. She is a member in good standing with the Hawaii State Bar Association and California Bar Association. She received her BA degree from the University of California San Diego. She received her JD degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law graduating cum laude. She is a published author and served on the Thomas Jefferson School of Law Law Review. After law school, Nathalie served in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps for 6 years. She served in Iraq and at the Pentagon. Nathalie's service medals include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal w/OLC, and the Army Achievement Medal.
Nathalie came to Hawaii as the Chief of International and Operational Law for U.S. Army Pacific Command. She was recruited by Marr Jones & Wang to practice exclusively in the area of employment law defense followed by Char Hamilton Campbell & Yoshida to practice in the areas of workers' compensation and employment law defense. In 2011, she opened the Law Office of Nathalie S. Pettit to better serve her clients by providing high quality, cost-efficient legal services with innovative and progressive approaches to the law.
Nathalie is a frequent speaker on topics related to workers' compensation and employment law defense. She has presented with Sterling Educational Services, Lorman Education Services, the Society for Human Resource Management-Hawaii, the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, and the Honolulu Association of Insurance Professionals. Nathalie's active involvement in the business and legal communities and her belief that education and training are never-ending keep her up-to-date with current trends in the field and enable her to provide the best possible representation to her clients.
Frank Valenti, CSP is currently a Risk Consultant in the Client Consulting Services division of Atlas Insurance. Frank has over 20 years of experience in safety. He has knowledge of facilities planning and maintenance, including experience as a corporate safety officer. He is well versed in local and federal laws and guidelines regarding building and ADA codes, safety, and zoning. Key areas of expertise include project facilitation, training and implementation, and the development of policies and procedures. He is an active member of HHVISA, ASSE, and GCA. Frank graduated from Skidmore College (New York) with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting.
