Seminar Full and Closed
Terminating an employee can be difficult, uncomfortable, and impactful for a company. It’s no secret that a poorly planned and executed discharge could lead to the potential for legal liability. While terminating an employee is never pleasant, the key to successfully handling this kind of situation is to accurately assess your risks, and thoughtfully prepare for it.
Join us for this insightful session where our speakers will discuss best practices and considerations in leading up to and conducting terminations, including:
- Analyzing risk before deciding to terminate
- Unemployment insurance
- Severance Agreements and Waivers
- Communicating the termination
- Practical considerations, including final payment of wages, return of company property, and confidentiality concerns.
