9200420 VIRTUAL Workshop - Crucial Conversations for Small Businesses (ETF APPROVED)

This virtual workshop is limited to 18 participants and is an interactive learning experience.  This learning session will not be recorded. 

HEC is honored to have the opportunity to offer the Crucial Conversations program to small businesses (fewer than 500 employees) in Hawaii, through a very special arrangement with VitalSmarts. Many of you may be familiar with this concept through the New York Times best-selling book, Crucial Conversations: Tools for Talking When Stakes Are High and its author, Joseph Grenny who was the keynote speaker at last year’s SHRM Hawaii conference.

Since these crucial skills are needed now more than ever, HEC is excited to announce that we will now offer this two-day in-person workshop as an interactive virtual workshop!

  • Do you ever hold your opinion inside and then one day, when you can’t take it any longer, speak your mind – but by then you’re so upset that it comes out all wrong?

  • Do you ever hold back a differing opinion, hoping someone else will bring up the objection, but nobody does and your opinion goes unheard?

  • Does it sometimes feel unsafe to state your honest view because there’s a chance that stating a differing or unpopular view could come back to haunt you?

To learn how to deal with these types of high-stakes conversations (where opinions vary and emotions run strong) using the skills of the world’s best communicators, attend our virtual Crucial Conversations Training to:

    Participants learn the dialogue skills demonstrated by top performers—skills that help you talk with anyone about anything to reach alignment and agreement on important matters.

    These skills turn in to behaviors that improve decision making, commitment to action, productivity, and relationships.

    Consistent behaviors lead to organizations, teams, and individuals developing high-performance cultures based on trust and respect

This virtual training is limited to a group of eighteen (18) participants who will be actively participating in large group, small groups and in pairs.

We will be using Zoom as the technology platform and all attendees are required to have:

  • Audio (microphone and speaker) - so we can hear you.
  • Webcam - so we can see you

This virtual program is two (2) hours each day for five (5) days in a row.
The content accomplishes the same outcome as the two-day in-person training.

About Our Speaker:
Traci Manalani joined the Council in 2017 with over 25 years of organizational development experience to launch and direct our Organizational Effectiveness services. Traci’s expertise includes providing individual and team coaching as well as facilitating transformational programs. Traci’s 1:1 coaching encourages executives, leaders and managers to transform their mindset and achieve behavioral change that has a positive impact for their organizations. Traci’s organization and relationship system coaching (ORSC) approach creates more cohesive teams and strengthens understanding that leads to strategic and sustainable solutions at a leveraged scale. Traci is a seasoned facilitator and has led programs that combine practical skill-building with mindset growth, which has led to significant culture change within organizations. Traci has her Masters in Psychology, Bachelors in Human Resources Management, and is pursuing her PhD in Organization Development and Change. She is certified as a coach through the International Coach Federation (ICF), through Fielding Graduate University’s Evidence Based Coaching program and through CRR Global’s Organization & Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC) program. Traci is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and has worked globally with private sector companies, non-profit organizations and governmental agencies.
