In today’s workplace, people’s effectiveness is so often affected by how well they can interact and communicate with others. These essential communication skills for leadership, customer service, and teamwork are seldom taught in school. In fact, people are far more educated on the skills for literacy than the skills for effective interactions.

Not surprising then that stress, strain, or feelings of a tug of war often occur instead of meaningful and constructive dialogue in the workplace.

 Active Listening (two 2-hour workshops)

  • The four levels people engage in listening and what makes active listening the most productive.
  • The secrets of reading the nonverbal communication and the nonverbal habits to avoid doing when listening.
  • The six key tools for making active listening wor
  • The empathetic mode of active listening and the verbal barriers to avoid when receiving others’ message

 Assertive Speaking (two 2-hour workshops)

  • The four common approaches people use to express their messages to others and what makes assertive speaking the most effective.
  • The nonverbal tools for delivering messages with positive impact
  • The verbal tools to speak in the positive, using language to communicate so others hear what you really mean

About Our Speaker:
Traci Manalani joined the Council in 2017 with over 25 years of organizational development experience to launch our Organizational Effectiveness services. Traci's expertise includes providing individual and team coaching as well as facilitating transformational programs. Traci's 1:1 coaching encourages executives, leaders and managers to transform their mindset and achieve behavioral change that has a positive impact for their organizations. Traci's organization and relationship system coaching (ORSC) approach coupled with expertise using the Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team creates more cohesive teams and strengthens understanding that leads to strategic and sustainable solutions at a leveraged scale. Traci is a seasoned facilitator and has led programs that combine practical skill-building with mindset growth, which has led to significant culture change within organizations.

Traci has her Masters in Psychology, Bachelors in Human Resources Management, and is pursuing a her PhD in Organization Development and Change. She is certified as a professional coach through the International Coach Federation (ICF), through Fielding Graduate University's Evidence Based Coaching program, and through CRR Global's Organization & Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC) program. Traci is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and has worked globally with private sector companies, non-profit organizations and governmental agencies.
