A new approach to diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
As the world becomes more global, the need to build bridges rather than walls is critical. Businesses’ relationships with staff, customers, and community are directly impacted by divisions and privilege gaps between different sectors of society. Businesses need to become adept at working with power and privilege challenges so that they can create inclusive, respectful cultures where every person is welcome. Join us for a transformational journey through the four-part series described below.
We are pleased to offer special pricing for this incredible learning opportunity in addition to getting this ETF approved in an effort to make this accessible to everyone as it is so important and valuable.
4 Part Virtual Learning Series:
Monday, October 26 ~ 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
#1 Mind Your Privilege! ... or is it Minding You?
This training provides a cognitive understanding of what Privilege is and how it operates in society. It will also provide an overview of what it takes, individually and systemically, to fully engage and create belonging across the many and varied Privilege Gaps in our diverse society. Participants will create personalized action plans for how they intend to use their Privilege as Medicine. (3.5 hr)
Monday, November 9 ~ 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
#2 The Trap of Inequality and The Art of Inclusion
Together, we will explore the roots of Inequality and Injustice, and how society falls into a Trap that challenges our ability to create cohesive, inclusive cultures. We will review historical examples, including how the Trap is constructed and becomes systemic, as well as change initiatives that have helped us move towards inclusion. We’ll also look at present-day reform efforts, and how they can be strengthened by applying principles from the Art of Inclusion. (3.5 hr)
Friday, November 20 ~ 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
#3 Waking up from the Trap of Inequality
We will explore the wisdom of emotions that arise in response to injustice. We will notice the impact these emotions have on us and on others in our system. What happens when those strong emotions guide our actions? Rather than act from those emotions, we will consider how we can instead, pause in order to identify the call for change. We will consider how we can then be strategic about creating that change, rather than continue to be reactive. (3.5 hr)
Friday, December 4 ~ 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
#4 Skills for the Journey: Part 1: The On-Ramp into the Art of Inclusion
In this webinar, we will focus on the essential skills and tools to practice the Art of Inclusion and begin to create a pathway to a culture of belonging. The on-ramps to the Art of Inclusion require us to wake up to the impact we have on others and get deeply curious about our own, and others’ assumptions. Learn some options for what you can do when you are a bystander to acts of injustice. Take responsibility and step into the role of an ally. (3.5 hr)
