Communicate with Confidence: Elevate Your Public Speaking equips you with the tools to craft purposeful communication, connect with your audience, and deliver your message with clarity, confidence, and impact.
This course covers each stage of effective communication—from understanding your audience and managing speaking anxiety to structuring impactful messages and refining your delivery techniques. You will also explore strategies for audience engagement, adapting to virtual and in-person formats, and handling challenges such as technical issues or a tough audience.
By the end of this course, you will feel empowered to tackle any public speaking challenge and deliver messages that make a meaningful impact.

About the Speaker:
Kimberlee Davis is a facilitator in the Talent & Organizational Development Department who supports the needs of members through her training and instructional design experience. She joined HEC in 2022 and, since then, has delivered both public and private sessions of the Fundamentals of Supervision series and the Management Development Program and co-chaired the development of the Essential Skills for Thriving in the Workplace series. Additionally, through consultation, she develops and delivers custom training solutions designed to meet the needs of our members.
Before joining the Hawaii Employers Council, Kimberlee worked as an instructional designer and Manager of Learning and Development for the St. Louis Public Library in St. Louis, MO. She oversaw the company learning pathway for the organization’s 400+ staff, developed customized training experiences, and oversaw the launch of the company’s first New Hire Orientation program. Kimberlee also has experience in education, where she designed and delivered learning curricula for a wide range of learners in both virtual and in-person learning environments.
Born and raised in Illinois, Kimberlee attended Eastern Illinois University, where she obtained her degree in education with an English Language Arts minor. She also has certifications in instructional and learning design from the Instructional Design & Online Learning vocational trade school. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, hiking, music, and spending time with her family and pets.
