Finance as a Second Language® for Senior Leaders by Toshi Shibano, PhD
The Financial Language Senior Leaders Use to Align, Decide, and Lead
In HawaiĘ»i’s competitive business landscape, senior leaders increasingly reach a point where strong performance in their first language—operations, marketing, technology, product management, customer experience, or people strategy—is no longer enough.
Executive conversations now rely on a second language: the financial logic leaders use to evaluate priorities, tradeoffs, and performance. Yet many accomplished executives were never formally taught this language.
Finance as a Second Language® (FSL®) beginning February 12, is designed for this moment.
Join Toshi Shibano, PhD, on January 22 for this complimentary informational session to learn how his six-part executive series helps leaders think, speak, and act with financial fluency—so their insights land with clarity, credibility, and confidence at the executive level.
“FSL is a game changer. Toshi turns intimidating financial conversations into clear, relatable language and helped me connect data to real decisions. I now contribute with confidence and support strategic discussions in a meaningful way.”
— Nikki Battad, Director of Human Resources, HC&D
