HEC offers Final Bill Summary for 2013 Session

The legislative session closed on a quiet note as numerous controversial employment-related bills stalled out and only a few measures were passed on to the Governor.

 

Bills addressing the notice period for UI appeals hearings and the information employers are required to provide on employee pay records have been signed into law by Governor Abercrombie already. Bills addressing breastfeeding, the definition of "small employer" for health insurance purposes, and commissioning a study of the workers' compensation medical fee schedule await the Governor's review.
