Hawaii Employers Council is launching HEC Gives Back Month with a food and fund drive to support Hawaiʻi Foodbank and the people they serve. Throughout November, we’re encouraging members, partners, and friends to help families, keiki, and kūpuna keep food on the table.
Community needs are increasing. With the federal government shutdown disrupting SNAP benefits for over 165,000 Hawaii residents, many families are facing immediate gaps in their grocery budgets. Your support will help Hawaii Foodbank deliver nutritious food across Oahu and Kauai when it’s needed most.
How to help
- Give online: Donate to HEC’s drive.
- Drop off food: Bring nonperishable items to the HEC office during business hours, 2682 Waiwai Loop, Honolulu, HI 96819.
- Prioritize most-needed items:
- Monetary donations
- Canned proteins such as tuna and chicken
- Canned meals like soup, stew, chili, and pasta
- Canned fruits and vegetables
- Bags of rice (5–10 pounds)
Every dollar and every can makes a difference. Together, we can nourish our ohana and demonstrate what Hawaii’s employer community can achieve when we come together.
Mahalo for your generous donation and for helping us spread the word.
