Free DLIR Workshop and Corrected Apprentice Schedule

The Hawaii Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (“DLIR”) announced a free wage and hour workshop and also issued a corrected Apprentice Schedule Bulletin for Chapter 104 contractors.

Free DLIR Wage and Hour Workshop

The DLIR Wage Standards Division is putting on a FREE Comply or Penalize workshop, which will include topics such as:

  • Penalty Avoidance
  • Minimum Wage
  • Overtime
  • Payment of Wages
  • Frequency of Pay
  • Timeliness of Pay
  • Withholding of Wages
  • Record Keeping Requirements
  • Brief overview of Hawaii Family Leave Law & Child Labor

Corrected Apprentice Schedule Bulletin

The DLIR also issued an updated Apprentice Schedule Bulletin 496, corrected on October 18, for apprentices working on public construction projects under Chapter 104 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes.  Corrections were made to the first 1000 interval hours for Carpenter and Drywall Apprentices’ fringe benefit.  The Wage Rate Schedule Bulletin 496 remains the same.
