Winona White joined Kamehameha Schools (KS) as Vice President of Human Resources in 2014 whose mission is to improve the capability and well-being of Hawaiians through education by operating an educational system serving over 6,900 students of Hawaiian ancestry at K-12 campuses on O‘ahu, Maui and Hawai‘i island, and at 30 preschool sites statewide. Kamehameha Schools extends its educational reach into the community to serve over 40,000 additional learners annually through a range of programs and community collaborations. These efforts include community charter school support and literacy enhancement programs for public school children, making KS the largest private contributor to Hawai‘i’s public school system.

Ms. White has more than 30 years of experience building and leading teams of human resource professionals. Prior to Kamehameha Schools, Ms. White served as the Vice President of Human Resources at Kaiser Permanente, Hawai'i. In this role, she guided the People Strategy and HR functions for an organization with revenues of $1 billion and a unionized workforce of 4,400 employees.

Ms. White holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Hawai'i's Shidler School of Business. She is also a graduate of the Advanced Leadership Program at the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flager Business School, and a graduate of the Advanced Human Resources Executive Program at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. Ms. White is an advisory board member and Capstone Project executive panelist for the masters of human resources management program at the University of Hawai'i's Shidler School of Business.
