Course Description:

This program provides a general overview and understanding of the federal and state laws that have the biggest impact on supervisors and their ability to make employment-related decisions.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify ways to avoid common mistakes and lawsuits in the workplace
  • Know when to go to Human Resources with questions or concerns
  • Understand the basic elements of employment law

  • Employee Leave
  • Wage & Hour
  • Protected Concerted Activity
  • Supporting Compliance

The Fundamentals of Supervision courses are an introduction to important knowledge and skills required to effectively manage a team. Valuable for the first-time supervisor or as good refresher back-to-basics courses for any supervisor. Register for the entire series or individual sessions.

Cancellation and Class Switching Policy

Cancellations must be made 7 days before the class date to receive a refund. 
Requests for rescheduling must be made 2 days before the class date.

There will be no refunds or rescheduling options for No Shows.
