Management Development Program (MDP 3) - Strategic Alignment of Goals
"Strategic Alignment of Goals"
Course Description:
In order to stay competitive, organizations must ensure that every effort they take contributes directly to their long-term success. Managers play a large role in this, as they are responsible for ensuring there is a strategic alignment of goals between the organization and their own teams; without this alignment, efforts become disjointed and may not necessarily support the organization's objectives, resulting in wasted time and resources.
Throughout this virtual session, managers will learn the significance of cascading goals and how to effectively break down high-level visions into actionable targets, ensuring each team member understands how their contribution supports the organization's objectives. In addition, managers will also explore the SMART goal-setting framework, the power of purpose-driven goals, as well as the distinctions between individual development plans and performance improvement plans.
Trainers:
Talent & Organizational Development Team
Kimberlee Davis recently joined the Hawaii Employers Council team in October of 2022 and is excited to grow her training and facilitation capabilities within the company. As a trainer in the Talent & Organizational Development department, she will deliver the Fundamentals of Supervision, oversee the administration of the Learning Management System, develop online courses as well as help design and deliver learning experiences for our Hawaii Employers Council members.
Before coming to Hawaii Employers Council, Kimberlee worked as the Manager of Learning and Development for a large public library system in St. Louis, MO. She oversaw the company learning pathway for the organization’s 400+ staff, developed customized training experiences to help staff meet their learning goals, as well as created and facilitated the launch for the company’s first New Hire Orientation program. Kimberlee also brings with her 5 years of tactile experience in the field of education. Her time as an educator allowed her to work with learners of all ages, ranging from as young as kindergarten to more experienced adult learners in both large and small group settings. This wide range of experiences has helped her develop a proficient understanding of the learning development process.
Born and raised in Illinois, Kimberlee went to school at Eastern Illinois University where she obtained her degree in K-12 education with an English Language Arts minor. She also has certificates in instructional and learning design from the Instructional Design & Online Learning vocational trade school. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, exploring her new home of Hawaii, playing music, and spending time with her family and pets.
