Ryan Sanada is the Assistant General Counsel and a Senior HR Consultant at HEC. In this role, his duties include counseling employers on labor and employment law issues, training HR professionals and supervisors, and updating employers on changes in labor and employment laws. Prior to joining HEC, he practiced labor and employment law with the firm Imanaka, Kudo and Fujimoto. He also previously served as a legal consultant to the House Labor Committee at the Hawaii legislature, and began his legal career as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the City and County of Honolulu.

Ryan received his B.A. from the University of Puget Sound, and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law.
