Employment Cost Index Data indicates an increase in Total Compensation for Trade, Transportation and Utilities Industry Workers

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that employees working in trade, transportation and utilities industries experienced an increase of 10.6% in total compensation in the 5 years ending in December of 2012, while total compensation costs increased at an annual rate of 2.3 percent for these workers.

 

Compensation costs for trade, transportation, and utilities workers vary by industry, with utilities workers having the highest compensation cost at $59.26 and retrial trade workers having the lowest compensation cost at $17.64. Read more.
