Federal Contractors must use Census Bureau's 2010 EEO Tab to develop AAPs commencing in 2014

Published Friday, May 24, 2013 2:31 pm

The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) recently announced that covered federal contractors must begin using data from the US Census Bureau's 2006-2010 EEO Tabulation to determine availability estimates in any Affirmative Action Program that begins on or after January 1, 2014.

The date was pushed back because OFCCP recognizes that some contractors have already prepared 2013 AAPs using earlier data and that other contractors need time to convert their IT systems and availability calculations to the new data. While contractors may begin using the 2010 EEO Tab earlier if they wish to do so, OFCCP will not begin using this data to evaluate AAP reasonableness until January 1, 2014. Read more.
