American Arbitration Association will Train on "Grievance Processing: Better Nuts, Better Bolts, Better Results" on October 10

Seats are available for the full-day training on processing union grievances that HEC is co-sponsoring at the Ala Moana Hotel on Thursday, October 10, 2013.The session, which will feature keynotes from Labor Arbitration and Mediation Pioneer Ted Tsukiyama and Former Chair of the National Labor Relations Board and Professor Emeritus, Stanford Law School William "Bill" Gould, IV, will provide facilitated discussion on the components of the grievance process and best practices for processing and resolving the issues they raise. The session will conclude with the "First Annual Hawaii Labor Legends Awards Presentation". Honorees will include Ted Tsukiyama - Labor Arbitrator (Neutrals Category), Randy Perreira - HGEA, Executive Director (Labor Advocates Category), Claude Matsumoto - Hawaii Employers Council (Retired) (Management Advocates Category) and Tommy Trask - ILWU (Heroes Category) (Awarded Posthumously).
