Published Thursday, October 31, 2013 8:52 pm

The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration has rolled out two web resources to assist employers in protecting workers form occupational exposure to hazardous chemicals used in workplaces across the country. The first resource is a toolkit that walks users through information, methods, tools and guidance on eliminating hazardous chemicals by finding safer chemicals or processes to substitute instead. The second resource is a series of Annotated Permissible Exposure Limits (PEL) tables, which serve as easy references for updated information on workplace exposure limits. These tools will enable employers to more easily consider and adopt more protective workplace exposure limits.
