Online access to unemployment services has expanded, according to the Hawaii State Department of Labor and Industrial Relations. In addition to filing payments and accessing account information on line, the DLIR has introduced a web-based paperless appeals system that allows all parties to receive hearing notices, submit requests to reschedule hearing dates, monitor appeal status, and receive decisions via electronic notification. Employers are also able to electronically file weekly reports of low earnings, to file amended reports, receive notice when reports are missing, and verify that reports have been filed. To access these online services, employers can register for an account at uiclaims.hawaii.gov by providing information including FEIN and DOL numbers, and gross quarterly wages reported on the most recent quarterly report submitted.
