One third of employees believe that their employer is not always honest with them, and one quarter of employees do not trust their employer, according to a survey released by the American Psychological Association on April 23 and featured in CCH Daily Document Update. Workers reported having more trust in organizations that recognize employee contributions and communicate openly with workers. The survey showed that a sense of feeling valued by an employer translates into increased employee engagement. Ninety-two percent of those employees who felt valued reported being satisfied with their jobs while only twenty-nine percent of employees who did not feel valued reported being satisfied with their job.
