In lawsuits and arbitrations surrounding employee discipline, the underlying investigation is a key issue and the investigator who completed it becomes a critical witness. During this interactive program, participants will learn the basic principles of conducting an effective investigation and participate in a mock investigation covering a range of topics including identifying and interviewing witnesses, taking witness statements and gathering other supporting documentation, making credibility determinations, and issuing appropriate discipline as needed.
