Published Tuesday, December 30, 2014 3:37 pm

Hawaii's minimum wage rate rose to $7.75 from $7.25 on January 1, 2015.  This increase is the first step in a four part legislative initiative to raise the minimum wage to $10.10 per hour in 2018 through incremental changes each year.  In addition to the fifty cent increase in 2015, the minimum wage will raise again in 2016 to $8.50 per hour, in 2017 to $9.25, before settling at $10.10 per hour in 2018.
