HEC's 2015 HR Administration Series kicks off with Harassment Update on May 14

To begin the 2015 HR Administration Series, HEC is hosting a morning program on harassment issues in the workplace on May 14.  The definition of harassment is constantly changing and evolving, and external influences such as social media - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, emailing and texting are starting to influence workplace decisions.  Prevention is an employer's best defense against hostile work environment and harassment claims.  In this presentation, attorneys Paul Saito, Tricia Nishimoto and Cheryl Kinoshita will provide you with helpful tools to prevent problems that could arise from hostile work environments, harassment, bullying issues arising both in and outside of the workplace.  Key areas that will be covered include understanding the evolving definition of harassment under state and federal law, and understanding bullying and what employers can do to prevent and correct the behavior.
