Revised Posting Requirements Take Effect August 1, 2016

Published Friday, July 29, 2016 4:05 pm

On July 26, 2016, the Federal Department of Labor ("DOL") released revisions to the Fair Labor Standards Act ("FLSA") and the Employee Polygraph Protection Act ("EPPA") posters.  A major change to both posters is the removal of the maximum amount of fines and penalties which may be assessed for violations.  The FLSA poster also includes language outlining the rights of nursing mothers.

PDF versions of the revised posters can be downloaded and printed from the DOL website via the links below. Employers are required to post these revised notices effective August 1, 2016 in a conspicuous place at each of their locations.

Employers with HEC's 2016 all-in-one poster may continue to use that poster.  The revised notices can be placed over the current posters until the new all-in-one posters are issued early next year.
