Compliance with EEO-1 Pay Data Reporting Requirements Stayed

Published Tuesday, September 5, 2017 9:02 am

Employers have received a reprieve from reporting summary pay data and aggregate hours worked in their 2017 EEO-1 reports. The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) informed the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) last week that it had initiated a review and immediate stay to the pay data collection requirements on the EEO-1 form revised in September of 2016.

With the OMB’s decision to stay these pay data reporting requirements, employers should use the previous form, which collects data on race, ethnicity and gender by occupational category, to record their organization’s data. While the form to be used has changed, the deadline for filing 2017 EEO-1 forms remains March 31, 2018.
