The Hawaii Department of Labor and Industrial Relations Research & Statistics Office issued Wage Rate Schedule Bulletin No. 493 and Apprentice Schedule Bulletin No. 493, both effective September 17, 2018.
These schedules determine the applicable wage for each classification of workers and apprentices working on public construction projects. The wage rates in the Apprentice Schedule are applicable only to apprentices and contractors who are parties to an apprenticeship program that has been registered with the DLIR.
Whenever the Director determines that the prevailing wage has increased as shown in the wage rate schedule, the contractor must increase the wages accordingly during the performance of the contract.
