With schools possibly reopening soon – many with “hybrid” schedules (partially in person and partially virtual learning) – employees may have many questions regarding child care leave under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (“FFCRA”). HEC created this FFCRA Child Care Leave Eligibility Checklist to help covered employers determine whether an employee’s request for child care leave meets the requirements of the FFCRA’s Emergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion Act (“EFMLEA”) and/or the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act (“EPSLA”).
