Starting in August, members may notice a familiar smiling face missing from our HEC team. After 11 years, Lori Fukumae—our VP & Director of Membership Development--will be leaving the organization on July 31, 2025 to embark on a new chapter in her professional journey.

Throughout her tenure, Lori has been a committed, steady leader who played a vital role in our company’s legacy and community impact. Her passion for our mission, steadfast support of our members, and consistent focus on delivering excellence have left a meaningful and lasting impression on many. From navigating the uncertainty of the pandemic to strengthening our membership efforts with consistency and grace, Lori’s impact runs deep.

Personally, we will miss Lori’s warm smile, thoughtful insights, and the genuine care she showed for all of our team members’ well-being.

We deeply appreciate all that Lori has done to support and strengthen our organization and members. In the interim, Michelle Kim Stone, our Chief Operating Officer, will oversee Membership to ensure a smooth transition and continued support for both our team and our members.
