As Thanksgiving approaches, I’ve been reflecting on the past year and the many ways our HEC community has grown together. In a time of constant change for employers and employees alike, I am especially grateful for your trust, partnership, and resilience.
To our members, thank you for inviting us into your workplaces and for engaging with our programs and services. From our recent Talent Summit to our Annual Meeting, the conversations, questions, and connections we’ve shared reinforce why this work matters. Your commitment to building healthy, supportive workplaces keeps us focused on how we can serve you better every day.
To the HEC team, I’m grateful for the heart you bring to both our members and our community. Through our Aloha United Way campaign and now our HEC Gives Back Month, you’ve shown that our mission extends beyond the office. This November, as we partner with Hawaiʻi Foodbank to support local families, keiki, and kūpuna, you remind me that generosity and aloha are at the center of who we are.

As you head into the holiday, I hope you find time to rest, reconnect with loved ones, and reflect on the positive impact you have in your workplaces and across our islands. Thank you for the privilege of walking alongside you.
With gratitude and warmest Thanksgiving wishes,
Sarah Guay
